Face the greatest enemy the gaming world has ever known!
By which I mean the AI. The friendly AI.
It was well known at the time that KOTOR had some issues with your party going rogue and getting themselves, and by extention you, killed. In the original, it was somewhat manageable. Here, however they have apparently taken the approach of solving the problem by removing the AI completely. Your party members no longer even pretend to respond to commands (previously your party members would at least accomplish some of the actions you had lined up for them before defaulting to attacking the furthest enemy on the map and getting you all killed). There are these buttons at the bottom of the screen that are supposed to fix AI behaviour in a certain pattern (Attack, support, ranged, etc…) but as soon as you move on to the next character it defaults back to attack.
Oh, and let’s talk about people getting stuck on things. Like corners, and doors, and plain, wide open spaces with no obstacles whatsoever. If you like your characters getting stuck on things, then you’re really in for a treat. Marvel as your main character stands utterly motionless, ignoring your frantic commands, for no apparent reason, while his whole squad gets slaughtered. Thrill as you charge a boss, only to realise that the rest of your team has gotten stuck on that crate back there, and are in no rush to join you. The fun never ends.
In short, they took a game that was, discounting nostalgia for a moment, barely playable when it came out ten years ago, and managed to make it utterly unplayable.
Avoid this like the plague.
